CTFC - AGROTECNIO - CERCA

Our main goal is to promote the leadership, implementation and transfer of joint research and innovation activities in relation to the management of Mediterranean woodlands and their environmental threats. 

Our JRU is composed by senior research staff, post-doctoral researchers, PhD fellows and technicians seeking to:

• Develop, implement and integrate innovative added value, research based approaches and methodologies to advance in the understanding of the biotic and abiotic factors driving vegetation dynamics and the consequences for the implementation of management strategies for adaptation.

• Offer a dynamic environment for open collaborative innovation and for the creation of synergies among all stakeholders in the definition of multifunctional forest management strategies in the current context of environmental uncertainty.  

• Promote interdisciplinary training and facilitate the exchange and communication among the students and the researchers involved in the JRU, the interconnection of research topics and the emergence of collaborative and integrative works.
