My background is in Biotechnology (bachelor's degree from the University of Ljubljana) and Plant Sciences (master’s degree from the University of Bonn). My current line of research focuses on the relationship between the soil microbiome and trees in Mediterranean forests. The general aim is to explore and characterise plant-soil feedbacks and shed light on how these interactions, combined with environmental stressors, such as drought, influence forest regeneration patterns in the Mediterranean.
