I have a bachelor's degree in Forestry (University of Lleida, 1999) and a PhD in Forest Ecology (University of Clermont-Ferrand, France, 2003). I am currently Associate Professor at the Department of Agriculture and Forest Engineering of the University of Lleida (UdL). I am also associate researcher at the Forest Science Center of Catalonia (CTFC) and the Centre for Forest Research (CEF) of Canada (since 2015). During the last 15 years I have participated in research projects funded by the main national and international research programs (Spanish National Plan for Scientific and Technical Research and Innovation, Eranet Program, FP7, H2020, Interreg Program, LIFE projects, among others), being the principal investigator in some of them. I have also been member of the management committee of three COST Actions (E-47, FP1206 and CA15226). At the academic level, I am the coordinator of the Forestry Degree at the University of Lleida and I am also teaching in different Master's Degree Programs. The results of my research have been published in more than 100 scientific publications (H-index = 30) and a in number of popular articles and scientific communications. I've been member of the editorial board of New Forests (2010-2013), Canadian Journal of Forest Research (2011-2016) and European Journal of Forest Research (2013-2021).
